This school year, especially this semester has been the toughest time in my life, yet it's been when I have sensed God the most. Through everything that has happened, I can see where He was preparing me for each step that He planned for me to take. It's so amazing to see Him at work in my life and the lives of those around me! The friends that have stood by me through thick and thin will be friends for life, I'm more sure of it now than ever! With everything that has happened this year, I'm feeling more prepared than I ever would have thought possible for this summer. I reapplied to be a part of SummerShine again this summer, and I found out just a few weeks ago that I'll be serving God in beautiful Mt. Rushmore this summer! I'm so excited to see what's in store for the summer, and know God is going to do big things!
This verse from The Message has helped me though and has become one of my new life verses:
"Be strong. Take courage. Don't be intimidated. Don't give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He's right there with you. He won't let you down; he won't leave you." -Deuteronomy 31:6
God's going to be all over Mt. Rushmore this summer, I can hardly wait!!

You're right! He's gonna be ALL OVER it! =) I'm so excited to have you as my Assistant AD! I get to see you so soon! I will be praying for you as God continues to prepare you for the summer ahead and as you finish out this school year. I can't believe how close we are to ending this semester, but I am so relieved as well =). See you next weekend!
